Profile
Fronius has been involved in photovoltaics since 1992, specifically solar inverters – the control of photovoltaic systems. We develop innovative inverter systems that convert direct current – captured by the solar modules – into ready-to-use alternating current. The electricity produced can then be fed into the public grid. Outstanding products and services, such as the IG Plus series of inverters, the IG TL transformerless inverter and the unique Fronius Service Partner programme, make Fronius Solar Electronics quality leader in the global market.
In 2010, Fronius opened its UK subsidiary for Solar Electronics. Located in Milton Keynes, we have been able to provide necessary support to the growing UK photovoltaic market. October 2011, Fronius UK launched its Battery Charging and January 2012 its Welding division to further support these markets.
At Fronius UK, we offer comprehensive training courses, product demonstrations, servicing and ongoing technical support for our Fronius Service Partners, distibutors and customers.
Fronius continues to set new standards worldwide with new technologies and creative ideas. This is reinforced by their latest product, the Fronius Galvo, which will be exhibited at EcoBuild 2013. This is a single-phase, electrically isolated inverter that ensures the highest levels of safety. The device is designed for use in private households and small PV systems aimed at private consumption. Its wide MPP voltage range allows for a simple system layout, and the high frequency transformer makes it compatible with all module technologies. It is also designed to be open for third party system monitoring.
An innovative hinged concept makes installing the device child's play. The integrated energy management function allows for optimum private consumption. The device can be used all over the world. Production is planned to start in the middle of 2013.
